BEACH RESTORATION

Large portions of the beaches in Northern New Jersey have experienced substantial erosion. Much of the coastline is not usable for beach recreation. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is evaluating a project which will restore the beaches in the area and prevent future erosion. The beach width will be restored to approximately 150 to 200 feet, which is the size at beaches regularly used for beach recreation. Parking and concessions will be available. Remember there are many worth causes to contribute to, and that you only have so much money for contributions. Would you be willing to pay $X for the expansion.

Starting points for recreation WTP were $2, $4, or $6 with a 50 cent bidding increment (decrement) for existence value were $10, $20, or $30 with a $5 bidding increment (decrement)
